日曜日、ずーーっと前から楽しみにしていた、親友智秋の赤ちゃん「統唯君」のベイビーシャワーに行って来た。手足をパタパタさせて動きまわるとーい君はおもちゃ（ＴＯＹ）みたいで、本気本気本気でかわいかった。
智秋の出産話しを聞いたり、お腹の中のエコー映像のビデオを見せてもらっても、当然ながらこれを自分もいつか経験するんだーなんて実感はまだまだわかなかったけど、それでもとうい君のかわいさにはメロメロになってしまった自分もいて、赤ちゃんがすごーく欲しくなった。
それと同時に、智秋の子育てに注ぐ愛情の深さや慎重さには、またいつものごとく関心させられた。出産方法のこだわりに始まり、母乳で育てるので自分の食べるものへの制限や、布オムツまで、本当に自然で体に優しくをモットーにがんばっているようだった。
智秋はいつでも自分にこだわりをもって、考えて、自分でちゃんと調べて、それを実行する人だと思う。新しいことはなんでも私より先にやっちゃうので、そりゃ私が頼ってしまっても仕方がない！

家に帰るとタリクがＭＳＮにいて、「智秋の赤ちゃんどうだった？」ってさっそく聞いてきた。めちゃめちゃかわいかったよー！から始まり、智秋の作ってくれた和食や、素敵な旦那さんの話しなんかをいっぱいして、最後に「私も赤ちゃん早く欲しいねんけど！」っていうと、「you have to wait yo!」っていつものごとくあっさり言われてしまった・・・。
あー赤ちゃん早くほしいよー！！
あと、智秋に大きなバーバリーのブランケットを２枚も頂いた。寒い冬を過ごす私を哀れに思ってくれたのか、本当に心のこもったプレゼントをもらうとすぐに感動してしまう。最近昔に比べて涙もろくなった気がするのは気のせい・・・？
Feb 23 was Kanaoko’s birthday so we finally went to a Italian restaurant called La Pizzeria Pane e Vino which has been highly recommended by Marisan.
If you ever come to Osaka and want to eat Italian, this is the right place to go. It’s a really really small restaurant and you can’t even find it on the internet or any magazines but it’s always full with customers Marisan says. I’ve been to Italy and eaten Real Pizza ( not the thick crust ones) and so I say the pizzas we ate tonight had an authentic flavor!
Marisan’s been to this restaurant so many times (and still loves to go) so she called up the owner and asked him to make a dessert for Kanako’s birthday. They don’t have sweets on their menu but he made pistachio icecream,cassis icecream and gateau chocolat for us. Umm they were so yummy!
It was supposed to be Kanako’s birthday but at the end I got a surprise gift from Kanako and Marisan as my going away present.It was a Japanese recipe book written by popular Japanese cook,(not Michiba from Iron chef ) , chopsticks and sakura shaped chopstick rests. Now I’d have to make Japanese in Toronto and in Winnipeg for sure.
I won’t be able to meet Kanoko and Marisan more than half a year from now but nex time we meet up will be Marisan’s birthday party at the Italian restaurant in September.

タリクの中学からの友達のＪａｓｏｎと、彼女のカオリンが日本に遊びに来た。遊びに来たというか、「カオリンのご両親にＪａｓｏｎが結婚のあいさつをしに来た」 というのが来日のメインな理由で、二人にとって今回の旅は一生の思い出になるんだろうなぁと思う。
滞在中最後の３日間は私の家に泊まってもらい、私はラブラブな二人の京都＆大阪観光の寂しい付き添い人として働いた。新婚さんっていいわね～ってつくづく思う週末だった。
二人も私達と同じように、移住の申し込みをして、トロントで４月に結婚式を挙げるらしい。
トロントに行く前から、頼りになれる友達がいることは、私にとってすごく心強いし、カオリンにとっても私が少しでも力になれたらいいなーと思う。
