Raneem and her family came over to drop some wedding stuff for us yesterday.
Everytime I see her, she stares at me with her curious eyes.
Obviously it’s because I am an alien to her as I look very different from any of her relatives or her family friends.I am not the only asian in their big community but one of a few for sure.
I think she will make some asian friends at school as she grows up and she will get used to seeing asian people. But for now I can enjoy myself getting much attention from cute kids like her.

I was able to eat Takoyaki today thanks to Jason and Kaori.
Umm they were soo yummy!
*In case you don’t know about takoyaki(octpus ball):
Takoyaki literally means fried or baked octopus. It’s made of batter, octopus, tenkasu(crunchy bits of fried tempura batter), pickled ginger, and green onion, topped with okonomiyaki sauce, aonori, mayonnaise, and katsuobushi (fish shavings). I hope you get the idea at least?
I don’t look like her, do I?
I was told I look like her from a lady clerk at a shoe store.
I haven’t even heard of her name so went home and checked her on the internet.
I was hoping she’s at least a bit cute but look at her!! She is not pretty at all!!
I was disappointed and decided that I will never go to the shoe store.
I know all asian girls look the same to non-asian people tho…
