Honeymoooooon 1

Tariq and I are on honeymoon now. Here are what we did in the first week.

Day 1

Glasgow sight seeing.Weather is pretty bad. Almost all the guys have the same Beckham hair style and not so many pretty women( this comment is by Tariq). Food is pretty bad and there are many shoe shops which I liked the most.
We didnt sleep for almost a whole day so I was pretty cranky. I dont think its a good start of our honeymoon but oh well.

Day 2 / London

Spent some time with lovely kids Sami and Adam, watched soccer game German VS Italy

Day 3 / London

Went to Tate Modern, ate lunch at horrible sushi restaurant,Rahi baji’s (Tariq’s cousin) family came over so we got to see her kids Adir and Alina again.

Day 4 / London - Seville in Spain

Left london and got to Seville. Neither of us can speak Spanish,so we had to survive using gesture and simple spanish words. Since spanish was my second language I took at University, I had some confident before I went to Spain. However all the words I used in Spain was Hi and Thank you and Tariq had so much better uderstading in Spanish. Umm.
Somehow managed to find a hotel to stay for the night and ate pizza for late dinner.

Day 5 / Seville

Went to Cathedral in Seville. It’s one of the biggest churches in the world and it was pretty big indeed. There were many paintings of Crusifiction and a huge olgan in the middle of the church was quite impressive. There was also a dead body of Coloumbs in a casket whch I couldn’t believe he was really inside of it. After spending some time looking around the monuments and paintings, we went up 34 flights of stairs to the top of the cathedral. As you can see in the picture in my photo album, it was quite a nice view.

After cathedral was Arcazar, a huge beautiful palace.
At night we went to see a flamenco dance show. I didn’t think that I would like the show so much before I went to see but after I saw the show, and ofcourse while I was watching the show, I got too excited to breathe even. The dancer’s facial expression, her steps made by her thin legs, red polka dot frilled dress, black flamenco shoes, her hands movement.. everything was so passionate and hot and sexy and I was really thrilled by the beauty of the dance. Umm I want to watch the dance again.

Day 6 / Seville to Cordoba

Bussed to Cordoba, looked for a hostel for the night and found a very reasonable youth hostel and we were very happy for the moment. But I found out on the second night that the hostel used to be a mental asylum and I coudn’t sleep at all while Tariq was snoring next to me. In the guide book it had described about the place clearly but I didn’t know the word asylum means hospital.

Went to a place called Madina al zahara. It’s a ruined palace and all I remember was that we saw a nice bath and met an American boy there.
For dinner we went to look for a restaurant where we can watch a soccer game for the night. After walking around the city for a while we finally found a restaurant with TV and met a girl who was also from Toronto. During the trip these two strangers whe we met this day in Cordoba were the only people we spent some time with. Even though we were on our honeymoon, I was expected to make more friends? or meet some more poeple….

Day 7 / Cordoba

- Went to Al kazar and Mezquita
- Ate ice cream
- Burger King for lunch
- Watched soccer game with bunch of French people / France VS Italy
