Forget about honeymoon. We still can’t find a place to live in Winnipeg.
We got flight tickets to go to Winnipeg on 31st of August but yet we still haven’t gotten any place to start our new life. We might have to live in cardboard boxes with native drunken people…

Day 8 / Cordoba to Granada

A pigeon dropped poo on my hair, forhead, shoulder and back while I was resting at a bench.
Beautiful day.

Day 9 / Granada to Madrid

- Cheese and Rusk for breakfast at a bench
- Shopping at Zara
- Have a big fight
- Lost our gide book
- Went to Al Hambra
- Turkish food for dinner
- Bussed to Madrid, it’s the most uncomfortable bus ride during the trip.

Day 10 / Madrid

- Spent abt 5 hrs at the Plado Museum

When we were waiting at a traffic light on the way to the Plado museum, we met a strange guy. This homeless looking guy came to us and started telling us his story, I wasn’t really paying attention to him but Tariq listened to him and he even asked me if I have a euro or not. So I asked the guy to tell me the story again and the dialogs between us were like this;

The guy; I’m from Australia and I had a car accident several days ago. I know I dress like this ( wearing totally worn out + dirty clothes) but I really had an accident. I need to go to Australian Embassy to ask for help so I’m asking 7 people to give me a euro so that I’ll have 7 euros to get there.

Me; Well… I don’t know.. What do you think Tariq?

Tariq said to me; Well… umm do you have any change?

I’m thinking ( What? Are you insame Tariq? Just say no!)

The guy to me; DO YOU HAVE A EURO?? ( in a very rude way)

Me to the guy; I don’t really know. It’s not a matter of if I have a euro or not but if I can trust your story or not, don’t you think so?

Tariq looking at me with bewildered face

Me; Fine (took out my wallet from my bag and I saw his eyes staring at my wallet fiercely. It was as if a hungry dog looking at piece of meat on the ground. I was sooo scared thinking what if he grabs my wallet and runs away when I was trying to find a euro coin.

I found a euro coin and gave it to him. You can imagine how angry I was at Tariq after he had left. I’m glad nothing bad happened to us but just thinking of the worst scenario made me furious for a while.

- The spanish restaurant we went for lunch was great. Great spanish food served in good timing, friendly waiters with English menu. I say this was the best restaurant we went on the trip.
- Went to see Guernica at the Reina Sofia Museum.
- Shopping
- Kono Pizza for dinner. Tariq liked it very much and ate two of them. The cashier guy I think was gay liked Tariq a lot. He kept looking at Tariq with a flirting look and smile. This happened quite a lot during the trip so I wasn’t so mind. But is tariq fascinating than me to spanish men? Umm let’ s not think about it that way. http://www.konopizza.co.nz/

Day 11 / Pamplona to Barcelona

Running of the bulls was very disappointing. I didn’t like it at all. City was in terrible condition when we got there.

Day 12 / Barcelona

- Sagrada familia was amazing. We both loved it very much.
- At an internet cafe owned by Pakistanee people, I saw Tariq speaking in Urdu almost for the fist time.
- Barcelona has a soccer team called FC Barcelona and we went to see the stadium.
- Went to see one of the buildings designed by Gaudi at night but we needed a reservation to go inside so we looked up the tall building from outside. I would definitely like to go there if there is a chance to go to Barcelona again.

Day 13 / Barcelona, Aveneon, Nice

- Bussed to Aveneon and trained to Nice
- Our hotel room in Nice was big and there was a kitchen with a small fridge as well. I reckon all the furniture in the room was from IKEA but it was still nice and clean room so we liked it.
- The beaches in Nice were rocky and the water wasn’t as blue as Okinawa or Thailand but there were always full of people on vacation.

Day 14 / Nice

All the shops except very few souvenior shops were all closed due to Sunday. I’m sure this won’t happen neither in Canada nor Japan.
